Obituary of Robert Frank Haack

Robert “Bob” Frank Haack, late of Regina, SK passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021 at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by parents John and Anna Haack, and sisters Florence, Marlene, and Kathleen.  Bob is survived by his spouse of 59 years Delores; daughters Cindy (Garth) Gorrill, Cheryl (Chad) Hartl, and Michelle (Scott) Johnson; son Trevor Haack; grandchildren Corey (Kahla) Gorrill, Tyler (Marnie) Gorrill, Tanner (Amy) Gorrill, Kyleigh (Brandon) Gorrill, Reed and Kendall Johnson; great-grandchildren Austin, Brayden, Maddie, Gracie, and Braxton; sisters Irene and Maryanne; and brother Leo.

Raised on a farm in Meyronne, SK, Bob was the youngest of seven children. Bob attended Draftsman classes in Edmonton before moving to Weyburn where he met Delores. They married in 1962, settling in Regina where they raised their family. Bob retired from IPSCO in 2000 after 29 years of service. After retirement Bob and Delores spent summers travelling throughout Saskatchewan, stopping at as many rural golf courses as possible, and enjoyed winter trips to Hawaii and Maricopa. He enjoyed recreational curling, watching baseball and old Westerns, reading, playing cards, welding and puttering around in the garage.  He was an avid Rider fan, loved his crossword puzzles and was able to answer almost any question that Jeopardy asked.  He was always smiling and had an infectious laugh.  Bob (Dad, Grandpa and Grandpa 2X) will be deeply missed by family and friends.

At Bob’s request there will be no funeral service. A small private gathering will be held for immediate family to celebrate his life. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care doctors, nurses and home care aides who helped Bob in his final months. Special mention to Dr. C. Johnson and nurses Regina, Maria, Bonny, and Andrea from unit 3A Palliative Care, Pasqua Hospital.
