Darren and Devon, we were truly sorry to hear of the loss of your father and our brother-in-law. We always enjoyed Len's company and appreciated the beautiful tomatoes he so lovingly cared for. Also the poppies your mom grew that unfortunately your dad was unable to see. We got some of the poppy seeds from your mon and dad and they replant themselves in our garden each year. We therefore have a good remembrance of your parents each spring and summer. You are both in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Good bless and stay strong. Your dad would want that. Darren and family -- I was sorry to read of Len's passing in today's LeaderPost. I remember Len talking about the bills piling up and his response to Darren's purchase of a SmartCar filled with Kleenex: "that'll help". May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers go out to my dear friend Darren and his family for the loss of their beloved Leonard. It is with sadness that I will not have the wonderful moments of hearing Leonard talk about his passions in life and the joys they brought him. But it is with much joy that I will remember and will always carry with me those memories of all the special visits where I listened to Leonard talk about those passions: his cherished Chevrolet Biscayne and how proud he was of that car and his home renovations and how proud of the home he made and the times that he wanted me to come and listen to his stereo where he played his Polka music. And I will miss seeing the joy on his face as he tasted the goodies that Darren's work friends made for their family for Christmas. He loved to share those things that were special to him. I will miss those times where I was blessed to hear about Leonard's passions and how he always brought special moments to my Christmas Day with his wonderful life stories and thoughtful queries about things that were important to me. I will miss those times of sharing and joking with Leonard. Leonard had a great sense of humor and a very caring heart. Rest in peace sweet soul!
