My sympathies on the loss of your Dad. I remember when his wild boars trapped him on a round bale, his Muscovy ducks, and of course the horses. John was always good for an adventure and a laugh, his was a life well lived.

There will be many a cowboy rise and fall, but John Wood in my eyes, topped them all!
As we bid farewell to this amazing Cowboy, I would like to express my understanding of what it is to be such a great friend to so many. John Wood headed up the Dude Ranch at Regina, Sask in 1989 and inspired many riders to achieve their goals in horsemanship. I was one to the lucky ones to have caught his eye with my riding skills and he awarded me the job of a Trail Riding Scout at The Dude Ranch. This opportunity changed my life forever. It allowed me to connect back to my roots of a Gainsborough Cowgirl, in the big city of Regina.
Rest in Peace Trail Boss. I will miss having you a phone call away with all your horse advice, which was always correct on all levels of horsemanship.
There will be many a cowboy rise and fall, but John Wood in my eyes topped them all!

My sympathies to the family. I already miss seeing John standing in the window across the street from me. On many occasions we would both be looking out our windows at the same time and give each other a big wave.
