It is with profound sadness that the family of Roland Leo Fauchon announces his passing on December 28, 2021, from complications resulting from a stroke on December 4, 2021. Roland was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Florentine; brothers Lionel (in infancy), Robert and Albert and his sister Rose-Aimee.

Roland is survived by his wife of 60 years, Clara, and his children Delia Stephens, Rhonda Eberle and Lorrie (Lance) McGinnis; grandchildren Christopher Jardine and Craig Stephens; Aaron (Candice) Eberle, Adam (Jordann) Eberle, Celine and Amanda Eberle, and their father Curtis Eberle; Brady Kulcsar, Brittany and Brooke McGinnis; Roland was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Bryden, Addison and Carter Eberle; Caiden Stephens; and Jacob and Bennett Eberle; his sisters Diane and Emma (Lloyd); brother Lionel; sister-in-law Lisa (Aird) Romich; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends Clarence and Donna Sperlie, and Steve and Kathy Gadient.

Roland was born in Mankota, SK, on March 30, 1937, and was raised on the family farm. He and Clara moved to Regina in 1962 where they raised their three daughters. He worked for the Saskatchewan Liquor Board for 31 years, retiring in 1994. In 1992, he and Clara built a new home in Woodland Grove where he enjoyed a long and happy retirement until his passing. Roland enjoyed fishing and puttering in the garden. His lawn was the envy of the neighbourhood.

Special thanks to the physicians and nurses involved in his care since his admission to hospital on December 4th – Dr. Sanchea Wasyliw, Dr. Lenny Pillay, Dr. Jonathan Grynspan, Dr. Alaba Ojo and Dr. Perron; and, nurse Anita on 5A who was a godsend to us during this impossibly difficult time.

A Celebration of Roland's Life will be held  at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. This date would have been Roland and Clara's 61st wedding anniversary.
