Obituary of Tjiauw Kian Tio

“A wife, a mother, a grandmother too.

Tio Tjiauw Kian was born on March 29, 1933 in Surabaya, Indonesia. She was married to Wong Keung in 1960 before moving to live in Hong Kong in 1962. She immigrated to Regina, Canada in 1992 and lived there ever since. Tio is survived by three children: Jenny Wong Mah and her husband Peter Mah, of Edmonton. Agnes Wong, of Hong Kong; and Stan Wong and his wife Elsie Wong, of Regina. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Melody Wong and Alanna Wong. Tio was predeceased by her loving husband in 2001. 

Tio was a homemaker dedicating her entire life looking after the family. She was an exceptional wife and mother.
