Obituary of Gerald Marshall Sager

After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Gerry passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 78 years.  He was predeceased by his father Ludwig and mother Emily; father-in-law John Gabriel; mother-in-law Karolina Gabriel; brothers-in-law Garry Silzer and John Gabriel; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles. Gerry leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years, Anna; daughters Tanya (Kim Weist), Tracy (Mauro) Milessa; grandchildren Olivia, Dawson and Josh; brothers Raymond and Norman; sisters-in-law Marilyn Silzer and Sandra Gabriel; Aunt Ruth Sauer; nieces and nephew; numerous cousins; and  many close friends and neighbours.  A special thank you to the Edenwold First Responders and Regina Paramedics who tended to Dad at home. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Reception will follow at Speers Family Centre which is located two doors north of Speers Chapel. Interment following the reception at approximately 1:30 p.m. at Edenwold Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerald’s memory to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7, or The Arthritis Society, 393 University Ave., Suite 1700, Toronto ON, M5G 1E6.
