Keven was the most caring and generous man. I will always remember the one day I called Donna scared, it was a situation with a renter, Keven came rushing over. He dropped everything to make sure I was safe, it was a low period in my life and he did not judge me he just came to the rescue. I am so blessed to know such loyal and giving family.
When Keven would call Donna it would say “Best Husband in the world” is calling. That’s how I knew him, and he was. Sending love to Donna, Mads and Nick. I think about you guys every day. I love you, Nadia

Kevin was such a kind and generous man. Since I met him when I started working at Brightwater, he was always so supportive and believed in me, driving me to work harder and put more into the residents and families I was serving. He really led by example. In later years, it was always a pleasure to struggle through a spin class at Level 10 next to Kevin, he was always so positive, wearing a smile on the bike when no one else did. I’m most grateful for Kevin’s yearly contributions to my Movember campaign. I will reflect on our email correspondence in years going forward as he always encouraged my efforts, and Movember 2022 will be dedicated to him. Sending love to Kevin’s family, this really sucks.

As a young man I had the privilege of playing on the provincial men’s squash team with Kevin and was always impressed by how he carried himself on behalf of Saskatchewan - how hard he competed and what a fair and honest player he was. He was a fixture at tournaments for years and a true ambassador to the game. I'm grateful for having known him and saddened by the loss.

So sorry to learn of Kevin’s passing. My very, very sincere condolences to the Tell family. I was a recipient of his water ski lessons, a skill that despite numerous attempts on other occasions.. I never had success at. It is fair to say, it had nothing to do with his patient instruction, and can-do attitude. That experience has stuck with me. Hold on to your loving memories.
Very sincerely,

I am so incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of my close friend Kevin. Growing up as neighbours in Douglas Park and Pasqua Lake was a special time with a special friend. So many memories coming flooding back that bring a smile to my face. Kevin was a kind & generous friend that had such zest for living ! Whether it was waterskiing, golf, tennis or running the gully road it was always a friendly competition and we wouldn't have had it any other way. I will miss hearing Kevin call out "bro" because in many ways growing up it felt so much like we were brothers. To Donna, Madeleine, Nicholas, Beryl, Karen & Christine your loss is shared by so many of us who also loved the guy. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Deepest sympathies from Joe & Sandy Schwann

May you find peace in your loving memories and in the company of many who loved Kevin as well. While we did not spend a lot of time with your family we knew Kevin to be a man of great character, unshakable faith and deep humility despite so much success. He had a lovely way of really seeing people when he spoke to them, making you feel that you were indeed a friend. We know he will be missed and his memory cherished by so many. Dear Donna, Nicholas, Madeleine, Beryl, Christine and Karen,
Tonia and I are so incredibly saddened at your tremendous loss.
I was fortunately able to know Kevin as a young person as he hung around the old Squash club on South railway. I watched this skinny little guy grow up to be an amazing man. Kevin was not just a good athlete, far more importantly he was a good man. I consider despite our age difference that we were buds.
I was close to Kevin's dad Jerry, and came to know and really enjoy your son Nicholas. I think he's a chip off the old block.
Donna, Tonia and I will pray for you so that your overwhelming grief and sorrow will be bearable.
May God Bless You and all of your family members at this time.
Tonia and Gerry Hauck.

Was sad to hear the passing of Kevin, we grew up a block from each other and attended school from grade 1 to 12. We played
Sports together growing up, Kevin was a great athlete and a gentleman on any field we were playing on…always enjoyed our
Shinny games against each other. I was fortunate to be able to go to the squash club his dad and friends had built…we had the place to ourselves, and the pop machine had beer in it. Kevin took me down to the Assiniboine club to shoot pool in high school.
Will never forget those memories. I feel for the loss to Donna and the kids. It was always a pleasure running into him.
Rest In Peace Kevin

You penned a beautiful tribute, Donna. Though I did not know Kevin personally, I feel a little closer to him. Thank you for sharing -what a remarkable man he was. It is no surprise that the two of you were partners in life. Heartfelt sympathies, to you and your children, and the many family and friends. Take care.

I remember Kevin as a young boy playing in front of the family cottage at Pasqua Lake as I found a fishing spot near the cottage a short distance from my in-laws cottage. I remember seeing him as teenager water skiing near the shoreline. I also remember him as a student at Miller High School when I was VP and Principal there. They are good memories.
I offer my condolences to his family. May their lives be filled with all the good memories of time with him once the sorrow leaves.

He was always so positive when I saw him , even during his illness.

I am saddened to hear the news of Kevin’s passing. I met Kevin when I was a junior squash player in Regina during the late 70s and through the 80s. Kevin is obviously a legend and the icon of squash in Saskatchewan.
Like many up-and-coming juniors moving into “A” and Open level squash, I had the good fortune to get on court with Kevin. He helped shape my game with mentoring, tips and his overall class on and off the court. I can still remember nervously picking up the phone and calling him for a hit. I remember times on court; Kevin giving me a look when I hit a really stupid shot. The look said two things, “what was that!!?” And “you’re better than that!” I remember hitting loose length and Kevin grabbing the ball from the air, mid rally, “come on!”. That alone forced me to play tighter and more disciplined.
I remember groups of us piling into cars to head to larger tournaments in Alberta and Manitoba. We were a motley crew but we had Kevin Tell, which always gave us a sense of pride in Saskatchewan squash. Kevin put us on the map and made young players believe we could be a top player at a national level.
I recall the general perspective, after a training match with Kevin; another player would always ask, “how many points did you get?” Or “I heard so and so almost got a game off of Kevin!” (Any points or a game would likely have been charity on Kevin’s part) If I got over 5 points in a game I would tell myself that I “won” those points knowing he could triple bagel me at will.
Kevin was a bigger-than-life part of my adolescence in Regina. A national squash figure known across Canada. Moving to Toronto, pros I met did not know much about Saskatchewan or our squash scene, but they knew Kevin Tell.
My deepest condolences to your family. Kevin, inspired and helped so many up-and-coming players over the years and was a role model in so many ways on and off the court. Rest In Peace.

Dear Donna,Nicholas and Madelaine.
I’m deeply saddened to hear that one of the most wonderful people I have been privileged enough to know, has left us. I’m so sorry for you because the world is certainly darker without Kevin in it. I have known Kevin for 25 years and although I haven’t seen him for quite some time, his light has always shone so brightly in my heart. We played squash together every week for 8 years and during that time,Kevin taught me so much. He was always on time,he was always the kindest, most gentle man that I knew and he always smiled with that infectious sparkle as he beat me week in and week out. I have never met anyone like Kevin, competitive like no other, but always making you feel special. He was the special one and my heart bleeds for Kevin’s family because he was truly one in a million.
Love Rick Hatfield.
