Obituary of Debbie Lynn Wolf

With great sadness, we announce Debbie Lynn Wolf (Read), of Bethune, SK, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2022 at the age of 63 years.

Debbie is survived by, and will be lovingly remembered by her husband of over 45 years, Mel; sons, Devin (Marcy) of Wolseley, Travis (Jodi) of Dundurn, and Brennan (Autumn) of Lumsden; grandchildren, Brayden, Carson, Addison, Silas, and Theo; sisters, Patricia, Sharon (Lorne) and Rhonda; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Debbie was predeceased by her parents Crawford and Betty; step-fathers Gillis and Earl; parents-In-Law Irene and Jack; step-brother Keith (Diane); and brother-in-Law Dale.

Debbie grew up on a farm Southwest of Bethune until she moved to the village of Bethune in her early years. She attended elementary school in Bethune and high school in Lumsden. She was married to her husband Mel in 1976 and welcomed their sons in 1981, 1984 and 1990.

Debbie devoted her life to her family and protected them all fiercely. She was a devoted hockey, football, baseball, and volleyball mom and grandma. She put on many miles across the prairies, being the preferred chauffer for all the boys’ sports. Debbie never missed her children’s sporting events and eventually, her grandchildren’s events as well. She not just attended, but was their biggest fan, always cheering from the stands. Debbie was an incredible cook and baker that always ensured anyone leaving her home left full. She loved taking care of her people, it was her life’s work.

A Come and Go Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for those that are comfortable attending. A memorial service and interment will be held later in 2022.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Debbie’s name.
