1938 – 2022
Charlotte, late of Regina, SK passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her parents Henry C. and Grace (nee Lee) Hewson; sisters Hetty, Thelma and Anita; brothers John and Phillip. Charlotte is survived by her husband Robert “Obie”; sons Michael (Laurie), Russell (Kim), Robert W. “Bob” (Cindy), Danny (Alma) and Tim (Lucy); sister Audrey; brother Gus (Shirley); grandchildren Garret, Korinne (Brennan), Jessica (Carlin), Kaleigh (Tom), Sarah, Joey, Steffi and Charlie; great-grandchildren Jocelyn, Andrew and Marcel; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was born in Regina, youngest of 8 children in the Hewson family. She graduated from Scott Collegiate and worked for SPC and City of Regina. Charlotte and Obie were married in 1958. Their family grew to five sons and when they were older, she worked for Birks Jewelers for 14 years, Lakeview Gardens and Michaels Crafts. She retired in 2005 and spent many winters in Arizona with Obie and their friends.
Charlotte loved music, played piano and the organ. She was very creative, artistic, a keen mind and meticulous about herself, her family and her home. Family was most important to her and everyone loved how she put family first and foremost in everything she did. Gramma and G.G. Charlotte was an inspiration to them, and they loved her dearly. She is loved and she will be missed.
At Charlotte’s request, there will be no funeral. A memorial will be held at a later date for family. Our family would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. Steven Bester, 3A Pasqua Palliative Care - Dr. Baumann and Dr. Johnson as well as all the nursing staff that cared for Charlotte in her final days. Flowers gratefully declined; donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
