Obituary of Edna Seeley

Edna Seeley, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Santa Maria Senior Citizen Home. She was born in Maple Creek, SK in 1926 to Ludwig and Augustine Stehr. Edna was one of ten children. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Duncan Seeley (1991); and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Violet of Langenburg, SK; son Patrick (Maxine) of Regina, SK; grandsons Derek (Carrie), and Christopher (Michelle); as well as great-grandchildren Bryson, Deklan, Alexander, Olivia, and Grace. Edna’s greatest enjoyments were family, friends, and music. She and a small, dedicated group of her friends always went to see Charlie Pride when he was in Regina. Edna played guitar for the Grand Coulee Old Tyme Jug Band. Her involvement in the band afforded her the opportunity to travel to Germany and the United States. Edna’s other great joy was to see her grandsons and their families. She always knew what her great-grandchildren were involved in. At Edna’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. A private family Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Santa Maria for the love and care of Edna during her stay.
