Our precious little angel, Vanessa Sylvia Gottfried, born August 13, 2012 gained her angel wings on February 4, 2022, after a lifelong fight against Dravet Syndrome. She inspired everyone she met along the way with her strength, love, and joyful spirit. Her presence was always full of pure, innocent light and love. Despite all the trials and hardships she endured in her short life, Vanessa never let it stop her from always showering everyone with hugs, love, cuddles and kisses. 

Vanessa will be forever missed by her parents, Dada Brenden Gottfried, Momma Trudy Tannahill and Stepdad Kevin Bettin; Big Sister Natasha Gottfried; Big Sister Alexus Bettin; Big Brother Tyson Cayer; Grandparents Bart and Colleen Tannahill, Sylvia Tannahill and Chuck Ostapowich, Glenn and Garva Gottfried, and Dennis and Julie Bettin; great-grandparents Terry and Doreen Tannahill; as well as many Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.  

Vanessa touched so many lives with her beautiful smile, and will hold a special place in everyone's hearts. A special thank you to her schools and teachers that took very good care of her; as well as the medical community that was involved in her care throughout her life.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation and final farewell to Vanessa at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Service to celebrate Vanessa's life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. All those in attendance are asked to wear Vanessa's favourite colour, purple.
