Obituary of Petronella Petras

PETRAS, Petronella

It is with sadness that we announce the loss of our Petronella (Nelly) Petras who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 88 years.

Nelly was predeceased by her parents Andrew Petras and Margaret (Zielsdorf), her brother and his wife John and Noreen, sister Reta, sisters-in-law Rosemarie and Lorretta. Nelly will lovingly be remembered by her family near and far - her bothers Ted, Ed (and Hanny), Jerry, brother-in-law Thomas Didur, along with her nieces, nephews and their families.

Nelly was born in Lloydminster, SK on June 1, 1933.  She attended Indian Creek School near Hillmond, SK.  She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, with an unmovable faith in the resurrection (John 5:28, 29). Nelly will also be remembered as strong, hardworking and dedicated. She loved her entire family along with her spiritual Brothers and Sisters at the Kingdom Halls here in Regina and Lloydminster.

Special thanks to the Sunset Care Home and staff for the loving care they provided Nelly through the years. Your kindness and helpfulness will always be remembered and appreciated. 

A funeral service and interment will be held at a later date in Lloydminster.
