Obituary of Lois Mae Kirk

Lois Kirk (nee Delgatty) passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her husband Doug, Lois is survived by daughters Betty Jo Leibel (Brian), Margaret Kirk (Glenn) and son Robert Kirk (Laureen); three grandchildren Shane Leibel (Wendy), Kyle Leibel (Kimberly), Ryan Leibel (Bonnie); seven great-grandchildren Avery, McKenzie, Teagan, Eden, Lillian, Jonathan, and Otis.   

Lois was born in Saskatchewan and as the result of career opportunities for her father and later her husband she lived in many locations throughout the province. Lois looked at every move as a new adventure and integrated herself into the social fibre of every community taking great pleasure in church groups, choirs, and volunteerism. She loved to sew, knit, and embroider. Lois and Doug enjoyed camping and they loved to dance. In the company of their large circle of friends they enjoyed many community dances and weekend trips to Danceland at Manitou Beach.     

The family extends their thanks and appreciation to Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home and Eden Care Communities, you provided wonderful care and support to Lois as she adjusted to life with out her husband and then journeyed through a pandemic. We are forever grateful.
