Obituary of Sister Rose Aimee Gertrude Belisle

Sister Rose Aimee Belisle passed away peacefully at Santa Maria, Regina, Sask. on Thursday Feb. 24, 2022 at the age of 88.  She was born at St. Victor, Sask. on April 21, 1933 to Lionel and Liliane (Girardin) Belisle. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Laurieanne and Sr. Diane RNDM; and brothers Real, Gilles, and Laval.  Sister Rose Aimee is survived by her sisters Laurie and Caroline; brothers Victor (Laura), Guy (Bernice), Claude (Doreen), and Roger and many nieces and nephews. Sister Rose Aimee joined the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions in 1950.  She taught school in Manitoba for many years.  Later she moved to Regina and was very active at St. Jean Baptiste Parish as pastoral assistant.  Although shy and quiet, she was always gracious, welcoming, kind and helpful to all.  She did a lot of work behind the scenes.  She will be missed and fondly remembered by her large Belisle family and the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions.  The Funeral for Sister Rose Aimee will take place at St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, 2517 25th Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service or to leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com.
