Obituary of Robert Clarence Smith

Bob (R.C.) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Denise; their children Sheri, Tracy, Michael and wife Ann; grandchildren Madelain, Simon, Ben, Melody, Danica, and Riley; as well as extended family throughout western Canada. Bob was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Edith, and brother Jack.

After meeting Bob for the first time and talking to him for a little while you would come to realize what his family was well aware of – he had a joke for everyone, was kind, and just about as chill as you can get. He enjoyed the Riders in the summer, curling in the winter, and adored his family non-stop, especially the grandkids. He was our very own town crier, ultimate shark, and unstoppable dispenser of mostly-useless-but-sometimes-interesting information, and we will miss him dearly.
