Dear Felix,
We miss you. You have been such a prominent figure for much of my life. I enjoyed working with you and I enjoyed our times of fellowship, whether on the job or in one of the Zerbin households.
I enjoyed our talks, although I quickly learned which subjects were prudent and which were not. From you I learned some very interesting perspectives and learned that you could work and play at the same time. I loved your jokes, even though they were only slightly less corny than my dad's.
You laid down your life for your family, friends, and your church. You met many needs, great and small, and were satisfied with the blessing of service as your only reward.
You have now entered into your much deserved rest and eternal rewards.

I will always remember driving to the lake with Felix, Martha, Irma and Waldermir in the van, and Felix pulled out his mandolin to enthusiastically serenade us and lead us in singing! Felix was like an unofficial grandfather to me for the five years I lived next door. I am blessed to have known him.
