Anne Feszczyn

Obituary of Anne Feszczyn

Anne passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Sunset Extendicare.  Anne was born in the Beckenham district on May 17, 1931, to Nick and Theodoria Mandziak.  She is survived by her daughter: Elaine (Gerry), sons: Chris (Kathy) and Zenon (Cathy).  Grandchildren: Amie, Kevin, Chantel (Jordan) and Vanessa (Garrett).  Great grandchildren: Demytrius, Ayden, Harper and Liam.   Sisters: Pauline and Natalie.   Brothers: Nick (Peggy) and Harry (Pat).   Numerous nephews and nieces as well as many other relatives and friends.

Anne married Mike Feszczyn in July, 1954 and they resided on a farm 12 miles Northeast of Kelliher, SK.  They grain farmed, raised chickens and pigs and had cows which were milked daily.  They were blessed with 3 children.  Anne spent many hours in the large garden they planted and then hours canning vegetables for the winter season.

Anne also liked to crochet and embroider.  She made many doilies for tables. She also loved to bake.  She enjoyed doing puzzles.  We spent many Sundays as a family putting together puzzles.

When she moved to Regina, she worked at Frank’s Cafe, Peter’s Cafeteria on Scarth Street and The Bay.  She was famous for baking the best cinnamon buns.  Everyone raved about them.

After the restaurants, she worked at the General Hospital in Housekeeping.  She worked there until she retired.

Anne loved to play Bingo and spent many nights at the bingo hall for entertainment.  She loved to play the slot machines at the casino.  She was an avid reader of the Leader Post.

She was a kind and generous person and loved getting together with family.  Sadly, her mind was overtaken by the Dementia/Alzheimer disease.  This resulted in her forgetting who her family and friends were and who she was.  We missed out on many years of cherished memories that had been created in the past and could have been created.

Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.

“We miss you and will always love you mom.   Rest in Peace.”
