It is sad for family, friends, and the community to lose such a special woman. She truly gave of herself to others and of course to her kids. As a friend of Alvin since we were kids … I witnessed how she gave them such a good start in life by her total dedication, hard work and strong values. Throughout her life she extended that to family, friends, and the broader community. She will be missed but her contributions live on.

Jeanne was a dear friend to both Anne and Anthea growiing up in England and in their new lives here in Canada. We always heard so many stories and how Jeanne was such a true friend and caring person. It was a privilege to know her and be friends for so many years too. Sorry that none of us could attend in person but our hearts are there with all of you. To My Dear Cousins and Their Families, Please accept my most sincere condolences, love and warmest virtual hugs on the passing of your Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. With Auntie Jeanne’s death I realize the end of an era. My parents and their siblings have now all passed from this earth. Jeanne was the quintessential prairie girl! I remember her visiting the east of Canada with its ancient rollings hills and her feeling claustrophobic! She longed to return to her home in Saskatchewan with its vast plains and unobstructed views. I will be with you virtually to help celebrate her life and wish you all an equally long and healthy life full of love, family and friendships. My thoughts are with you all.
