Uncle John and Auntie Florence always (every time) came by my Grandmother Muriel's house for cookies and afternoon tea throughout my childhood and into my adult years whenever we came to Regina to visit. I never understood the gift of their calm and loving presence. In their simple presence, they gifted me with a deep sense of what it is to be cherished and loved. I am so grateful to have had the gift of such stable role models who taught me the value of showing up for my family and my community and seeking to serve those around me with an open heart. In grateful remembrance I wish those family members closer to him comfort and peace in these times of mourning. With love, Trena Marie Moore
