Obituary of Sharon Lowery

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Sharon Lowery, on April 29, 2022, with her family by her side. Sharon was born on March 7, 1941. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, who will be missed by her children, family and friends. Sharon was predeceased by the love of her life, Teal Lowery; parents Grace and Robert Torrens; sister and brother-in-law Mavis and Harold Banks; and brother Ronald Torrens. Sharon is survived by her children: Michael Dumelie (Barbara), Patrick Dumelie (Stephanie), Geordie Dumelie (Kimberly), Jacquie Sebastian (Brock), and Nicole Dumelie (Craig); grandchildren Tiffany, Rory, Liam and Cash; sister-in-law Arlene Goulet; best friend Myrna Buttner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

After a successful career with the Society of Management Accountants, Sharon retired to her house at Pasqua Lake where she loved to entertain family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to Fiji, Australia and Mexico, where she chose to settle for a few years, followed by many happy years in Los Angeles. Health issues eventually brought her back to Regina where she spent the remainder of her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. In keeping with Sharon’s heritage, an Irish wake will be held immediately following the service to celebrate her life with food and drinks. Interment will take place at a later date at the Golden Gates Cemetery in Creelman, SK.
