To the Yanko Family: Jeff was a close colleague at Enbridge and he and I would connect regularly, often several times a week. From time to time, we would talk about our day to day lives and I was always appreciative of Jeff's candid 'down to earth' attitude and outlook on life. He always found a way to laugh about the most trying of circumstances that would come up occasionally but rarely complained about any of it. We talked a lot about hockey and his love of the game and he often mentioned the many friends at all levels of the sport that he met and got to know over the years. I, as all who knew Jeff, will miss him a lot - he was a great guy, and I wish there were more guys like Jeff in the world. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Kathie, Jamie, Bryn, Evyn and family - I am so very sorry for your loss and sending you my deepest condolences and prayers. May you find comfort in your memories and knowing what an amazing person Jeff was. Thank you for sharing him with us.
I met Jeff in 2009 when he applied to join our Enbridge team. From the moment we met I knew he would be a perfect fit for the team and the role. He quickly became the heart of our team – and a friend to myself and so many he met through his work.
Jeff was passionate about making a difference – and he did. During his time at Enbridge Jeff was instrumental in strengthening communities across the Prairies. He worked to ensure critical funding was delivered, often in person, to hundreds of organizations across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Jeff was also passionate about safety and played a critical role in redesigning our enterprise public awareness program, supporting emergency response and delivering our Safe Community program.
But Jeff is perhaps best known for his big smile, sense of humour and hearty laugh, his dedication, caring style and ability to build authentic relationships.

My heartfelt condolences to the Yanko family. I worked only briefly with Jeff at Enbridge, but did get to meet him on a few occasions. A genuinely nice person, so easy to work with and down to earth. Jeff was deeply respected by his colleagues at Enbridge as I can attest from many conversations we've had in the office here in Calgary and elsewhere since becoming aware of his illness. I know this respect for Jeff was shared by the municipal and Indigenous leaders he dealt with for many years on the job. He left a huge imprint on those who knew him through his work and I have no doubt this was even more the case in his family and personal life.

Dear Ron, Bobbi, Scott and families. Jeff was one of the students who first showed me how to be a teacher. I remember him as as a dear vivacious little boy with a sparkle in his eyes and a grin on his face. I am deeply saddened by his passing. May God grant you His "peace that passes understanding."

So sorry to Kathie, Jamie,Bryn, Ron, Bobbie Scott and family Just know we are thinking of you. Keith has so many fond memories with Jeff and the Yanko Family. Playing hockey with the "boys" was a highlight in his Life. Jeff was an amazing friend even though they did not see each other on a regular basis as they got older when they did see each other it was like old times. Jeff was an amazing person with a heart of gold. Lots of love and hugs always

He'd scoot ahead of me to open a door. People remember kindness. Jeff was a kind, gentle soul. And funny too. Lots of laughs. My deepest condolences to Jeff's family, friends. My heart breaks for Ron,Bobbi,Scott. I can clearly see why Jeff was loved by all, because Ron,Bobbi sure raised him right. God bless you all in your time of great sorrow.

My heart smiles thinking of the last time we saw each other. It was our 30th reunion a few years ago , and there was such a great turn out and so much laughter and love. Jeff and I , and a few others were the last ones at the campfire at the “red house “ ….no one wanted the special time to end. Stories were still flowing and the sun was up and the townies were walking to church …. we all laughed when we realized the time
Later that day , He and his lovely bride hosted us to a bbq at their home and it was one of the most relaxing lovely times I had spent in years
He gave me the biggest , loveliest , most comforting hug when I left to go catch a plane …..
I wish I could hear that deep genuine laugh again and his gentle heartfelt hug
I know my dad and many other hounds have greeted him and will take good care ……fishing and sitting swapping many many stories.

Jeff, I’ll never forget your humour; constantly teasing Keith about popping the big question, and teasing me - “you got my job, you got my house, soon you will be after my wife”. Haha. You always had great stories to share and words of wisdom to offer. Your “realness” allowed you to connect with people on such a deep level. You had a huge impact on so many and you were taken too soon. To your family - love and prayers. You will be missed. Rest In Peace my friend.
