Campbell Bower

Obituary of Campbell Owen Bower

Campbell “Cam” Owen Bower, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 at the age of 71 years. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Lloyd and Phyllis Bower. Cam is survived by his loving wife and partner of 49 years, Annette; sons Lloyd (April), and Eric (Joanna); sister Diane Bower; grandchildren Helen, Willa and Winnifred; as well as a large and loving extended family.

Cam was born in Regina on July 4, 1950 to Dr. Lloyd and Phyllis Bower. His parents instilled a love of lake life that had a lasting impression. Cam and Annette lived in Regina Beach for many years and that fueled his passions for golf, snowmobiling and boating. In the Bower house there was nothing more special than a weekend with good weather.

Cam’s enthusiasm for politics led to his first career. He spent time in Ottawa and Winnipeg assisting in campaigns and management. But the lake life called him back to “the beach.” After politics Cam entered the investment industry and took pride in helping families across Canada. This career moved the family to Winnipeg for a stretch but “the beach” called him back again.

He was a thoughtful and deeply caring man who was a joy to be around. The family looks forward to sharing stories and laughs when we remember him. Cam has now been called back to “the beach” for the final time.

We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Stewart McMillan and Dr. Bhanu Prasad for their kindness and care over the years.

In keeping with Cam’s wishes there will be a small private service. Also, per his wishes the family will try to have it on a rainy Tuesday so that everyone can enjoy their weekend if the weather is nice.
