I attended the memorial service this afternoon for Pat. I had the privilege of meeting Pat’s children & their families today. I felt honoured to be able to share a few words about Pat and the many conversations we had over the years. Since our retirements, Pat would call me from time to time to check up on me and see how I was doing. We even ran into each other in Mesa, Arizona one winter when Pat was volunteering at a Snowbirds convention. Pat dedicated much of his time to volunteering. Many times over the years Pat shared with me his love for his wife Sandra and all of his children and grandchildren. Pat was heart broken when he lost Sandra. Pat did not share his feelings easily when it came time to tell people how much he loved them. Pat mentioned many times to me how much he loved all his kids & grandkids. Today I shared those conversations with his family. Rest easy Pat. You are together with Sandra again. God Bless.

Pat - so many memories! Learned SO MUCH from you - all those union meetings and stories and Chinese smorgs! I will remember you with a smile and laughter - thanks for your friendship!

I attended a lot of Union meetings with Pat. He had a gruff exterior that hid a golden heart. I felt he always had my back and I learned a lot from him. He was always the king of Chinese food. Sympathy to his family and friends!

My sincere condolences to all of Pat’s family and friends. Pat and I worked together for many years at SLGA. Pat loved politics and that and union issues were usually what our conversations were about. Pat had a good heart and also talked about his love for his family a lot. Rest In Peace Pat. See you down the road. You no longer have pain and suffering. God Bless.
