Bev was a younger cousin. Her father Greg and wife Yvonne were two of my favourite aunts and uncles. I spent many summer weeks on their farm with my brothers, Jim and Rick. When Faye and Bev were added to the family, we were still welcomed for summer vacations. As we grew older and went our separate ways, I lost track of my cousins until I moved back to Regina in the late 70’s. Bev was just finding her way into the Regina job market and I had two young children. Fortunately for me, Bev lived closed by. She often came over for tea and a visit. If I ever needed an emergency babysitter, she stepped in. I will be forever grateful for her friendship during those 5 years.
After we moved to Saskatoon, she would still drive up to visit. Then she met Warren and the visits became fewer. Imagine a boyfriend, later a husband, being more of a draw than a 3 hour drive to Saskatoon.
Many years have passed, I often think of the great family gatherings in Regina with my McClinton cousins and I am saddened that one of those cousins has died.
Love and hugs to Warren and Faye,
Judy
