With sadness, we announce the passing of our mom Lottie at the age of 91.  After dealing with many health issues over the last two years, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.  Lottie was predeceased by her parents Rudolf and Irene, brother Rudy, son Brian, granddaughter Michelle, great grandson Dylan and the father of her children Ken.  She leaves to remember her with love, her children Glenn, Karen (Pat) Schlotter, Susan, David (Andrea Golembuski); grandchildren Tony (Nicole) Schlotter, Jeff (Stephanie LeBlanc) Schlotter, Anya Golembuski; great grandchildren Cameron, Parker, Josephine and Alexandra; sister-in-law Connie Richter, her family and many members of Ken’s family. Lottie was also fortunate to have made lifelong friends who will mourn her passing, Sandi, Joan, Bonnie and Glenda.

Lottie graduated from Balfour Tech (as it was then known) where she completed a secretarial course.  This put her on a career path of secretarial positions which lasted almost fifty years.  Her career started with a position at a warehouse, where she was whistled at by the workers when she drove by on her bike to go home for lunch, to a position at the Saskatchewan Legislature, to her final position working at the Labour Relations Board, from which she retired in 1995. Once retired, she could devote more time to the things she loved. Lottie was an avid reader, enjoyed a good game of bingo and could talk on the phone for hours!  She looked forward to the yearly beach trips with her friends, where they stayed awake until all hour’s playing cards, talking and laughing. We are also sure Lottie held the record for longest period of time with a learner’s license, close to forty years – and never actually getting a driver’s license!

We are thankful that until the very end, we could still talk, laugh and joke about life, family, the things we did and the things we hope to do. We will miss you Mom, but are happy your pain is over.

Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3 would be appreciated.
