On Friday, June 10, 2022, Karen passed away peacefully at the age of 75 years. She was predeceased by her parents Ruby and Lawrence Ward, brother Charles Ward and sister-in-law Gladys Eltom. Karen will be greatly missed by her husband Ron; children, Brian (Colette) Eltom, Kara Eltom and Kevin (Crystal) Eltom; grandchildren, Zachary, Taylor, Nolan and Ethan Eltom; sister Doreen Hollinger; brother Larry (Sandra) Ward; sister Carol (Brian) Taylor; sister-in-law Susanne Ward; brother Grant (Eleanor) Ward; brother Tracey (Patty) Ward. Karen also leaves to grieve many nieces, nephews and extended family: brother-law-in Jack (Carol) Eltom; sisters-in-law Yvonne (Syl) Rokosh, and Lorrayne Schoenhals.

Karen was born in Lemberg, SK in 1947, where she spent most of her elementary school years until they moved to Regina. She attended Scott Collegiate in Regina. After graduation, Karen went to work for the Government of Saskatchewan. She used her keen accounting skills in a variety of positions over the years to secure her retirement in 2012.

Karen’s children and grandchildren were her great joy. She loved spending time in the mountains, visiting with her children and watching her grandchildren. Karen will be remembered by her family for her witty sense of humor, her wonderful baking, and her ability to make time to chat with each of her children and grandchildren.
