It is with profound sadness that we announce Gerry passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Predeceased by her parents Edward and Melanie Stoudt, parents-in-law Michael and Margaret Wiome, son-in-law Harvey Kuntz, and brothers-in-law Mervin Wiome, Harvey Blondeau and Richard Seitz. Gerry’s memory will be cherished by her husband Sebastian Wiome, children Dan (Peggy) Wiome, Debby Kuntz, and Jim (Karen) Wiome, grandchildren Melanie (Evan) Mandziak, Michelle Kuntz (Josh Vilagos), Jenna, Lynden and Joshua Wiome, great-grandson Nathaniel Mandziak, sisters-in-law Joan Wiome, Arlette Blondeau and Rose Seitz, good friend Arlene Sanson and several special cousins whom she kept in close touch with.

Mom was born and lived her entire life in or near Regina. She was a devoted daughter to her mother who had been widowed early in life and struggled with health challenges in later years.  She was the best mom a person could have; always putting her family before herself, attending every school event and hockey game, always helping with homework, making countless trips to the ER with three very rambunctious children who broke many arms, fingers and legs, cooking everyone’s favourite meals, providing endless support with babysitting grandchildren (occasionally even having the three babies born in 2000 all at the same time!), sending bags of frozen homemade perogies home with us, and being 100% invested in everything that was important to every member of her family.  A city girl for the first 35+ years of her life, mom and dad purchased and moved to their farm near McLean in 1975.  She embraced farm life; raising chickens, helping with the cattle, caring for a huge garden, driving fuel and lunches to the field and being dad’s helper with whatever was needed.  She loved visiting with friends and relatives and always made everyone feel welcome.

Serious health issues kept mom in the Regina General Hospital and Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for the past five months.  We would like to thank the staff of these facilities for the exceptional kindness and care provided to our mom.

In keeping with mom’s wishes, cremation and a family celebration of her life is being held.
