It is with deep sadness that Debby and I hear that Doreen has left us. She was our neighbour on Angus St. for over 10 years until she moved to Wintergreene. She was a wonderful neighbour who shared not only her Welsh cakes ( including the recipe !) with us but also conversation and pleasantries about her family and grandchildren and of course the trials of the war years. Covid 19 kept us from visiting these past few years - another of the terrible fall outs of this virus. Alas!
She certainly looked forward to the visits from all her children who would make the trek from around Canada and the USA to see her and followed intensely the education of her grandchildren. What a wonderful lady with an heroic life story. We certainly will miss her and pass along our deepest sympathy to all of her family.
