Dear Dang Family, How special it was that we were able to gather together in honor of Uncle Joe's 80th birthday recently, where we could celebrate a life well lived. The "How Well Do You Know Joe" game that Ang and Roman cleverly coordinated provided such a memorable and lighthearted peek into the things that meant so much in Uncle Joe's life, and how he lived it to the fullest. I've personally never tried a raisin pie before, but now I'm curious about it and will be thinking about Uncle Joe when I do find one to try! Joe and I worked for many years at the Saskatchewan Dept. of Mineral Resources. He contributed many great ideas to the workplace to the benefit of the Province. During that time we participated in many curling leagues and golf excursions. It was on the golf excursions that Joe demonstrated that he had excellent cooking skills as well as golfing abilities. He was a great guy and friend. We will miss him greatly. Our condolences to Magdalen and Family.

Joe and I had many golfing experiences together. He was an excellent golfer and a gentleman. He had an excellent sense of humor and tolerated my poor playing with a smile. He taught me a lot about golfing and we shared stories about our travails as new Canadians. We were always proud of this generous country that welcome us and gave us so much. I shall miss him and think of him with gratitude. My sincere condolences to his wife and family he always talked about your with love. Oscar Rivera
