He was predeceased by his brothers in law Phil (Diana) Losie, Ralph (Yvonne) Losie, Denis Losie; as well as nephew Denis Losie Jr. David attended Holy Rosary School in Regina and graduated from Campion High School in 1957. After a brief stint at Royal Roads Military College in Victoria, he received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1967. After graduation, he taught with Regina Catholic Schools, with 28 of those years as a principal in various schools in the city. After working 30 years, he retired from teaching and began a new career, and became a Certified Financial Planner, working at that for another 10 years. His main objective in life was to help people with his service. He was the most incredible father, and he was loved and adored by his children. His greatest joy in life was his family, and when he became a grandfather and a great grandfather, he found a new happiness. He was very involved in their daily lives, and they were so blessed to have such a special relationship with him. The Hartnell Family would like to thank Dove House, both Montague house and Cameron Street house for the loving care that they provided for the last three years for David. We would also like to thank the nurses of Unit 3A at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit for making our journey there one of love and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 4720 Castle Road, Regina, SK on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
