Obituary of Janet Marie Gyorfi

GYORFI, Janet Marie

February 20, 1945 - July 29, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom on Friday July 29, 2022, at the Regina General Hospital. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Charlotte (Randy) King of Serath, SK; grandchildren Ryan (Mariah) of Serath; great-grandchildren Atlee and Avery; daughter Chrissy (Ryan) Senft of Southey, SK; grandchildren Ella and Hayden; son Derek King of Serath; daughter Lee Ann (Rod) Mounstephen of Raymore, SK; grandson Devan (Haley) of Olds, AB; great-grandchildren Cole and Jase; son Darryl of Raymore; grandchildren Samantha (Evan) Doidge of Raymore and Kortlind of Saskatoon, SK; daughter Wendy of Regina; brothers Garry (Bev), Jerry (Carole), Dwayne (Karen), Dallas (Karen), Brian (Myrna), and Allan (Sheila); her only sister Debbie; her mother-in-law Ilean whom she loved and adored immensely; as well as numerous extended family. Mom was predeceased by our Dad, Emil (December 27, 2017); daughter-in-law Michelle (September 23, 2021); brother Don (March 28, 2020); her parents Steve and Liz Lorenz; father-in-law Frank; and sister-in-law Jeanette. Mom was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and family gatherings. We her children, are forever grateful for her numerous friends who were very dear to her while she was living in the apartment building on Kleisinger Crescent in Regina.

At Mom’s request there will be no Funeral Service. A Celebration of her life, for family, will be held in Southey, SK on August 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
