Jane saved my life. She was a born healer, kind, funny and clear-sighted. She was so important to my entire family's wellness that when I was considering a move to Vancouver, my first thought was, but how could I leave Jane? She started as my physiotherapist and became my friend. She made the world a better place, and I will miss her terribly.

We were neighbours of Jane’s on Ehrle Cres from 1993~2000. Although we didn’t know each other well, she always was kind and graceful, a beautiful, healthy lady. My deepest sympathy and condolences to each of Jane's family. Jane was a lovely woman whom I had the pleasure of being in her care for over 20 years. She was kind and compassionate and taught me many things, I still hear her voice when I do her exercises instructing me how to do them properly. She always took time to listen even during her busiest times.
I will always remember her seemingly boundless endless energy, how she ran up the stairs and how her smile brightened the room she entered, her enthusiasm was contagious. She made a great difference in my life.
Over the years, I learned how much Jane loved her children and grandchildren, and was so very proud of them - and her family. - Jane was the real deal, always leading with integrity and honesty. I will miss you Jane - you were an earth angel.

I adored Jane and called her my miracle worker. She was my physio and acupuncture therapist for years but she was so much more. I saw her the most often after my cancer diagnosis and the care, compassion and advice she gave me I shall never forget. I always looked forward to seeing her and Marj. And I’ll never forget how she would run up and down those stairs attending to her patients. She was in my thoughts often and I was deeply saddened by her passing. She spoke so highly about her family and with such pride! She touched and cared about so many people in a very special way.

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to all of the Welsh family on Jane’s passing. My twin brother and I first met Jane when we were in our early teens and the Welsh family rented our family cottage at Lumsden Beach. When this attractive dark haired young girl stepped out of the car, our lives were changed! That encounter led to a long friendship, primarily with Jane and Brenda, lasting throughout our high school years and beyond, including many summers at Lumsden Beach, and to this day through my brother Charlie and his wife Deborah at Lumsden Beach. (It also extended to other siblings of the Koester and Welsh families, and to Ellie and Gerry, for whom I worked at the clothing store for many years.) What I remember most about Jane is that smile, perhaps I should say grin. It brightened the room when she walked in, and like a magnet, it attracted you to her. It epitomized her personality - warm, kind, caring, understanding, humble and vivacious! A wonderful person, a joy to be with! Although I have not seen Jane for many years since I moved east, and as a result did not know her kids or grandkids, I am saddened to say farewell to an old friend. After her courageous battle with cancer, may she now Rest In Peace. To all of the Welsh family, may your memories of her comfort you in your grief! Chris Koester

My deepest condolences to Jane's wonderful family, her dear parents raised a wonderful person, who was kind, caring, and worked hard at being a good mother, and an excellent physiotherapist. Jane was extremely proud of her three children and her extended family. I had the pleasure of working with Jane for several years before she opened her own practice. She was a pleasure to work with. She was a bright light in our profession and will be sadly missed. You could always count on Jane to give her best in any situation. She was a joy to work with, she always had a smile, and was always willing to do whatever she could to assist. Jane's battle with cancer has been a long one, and as such it was part of her interest to help others in the same fight. She was not only a wonderful person, but also an amazing physiotherapist, and I am proud to say a very dear person and friend. Rest in Peace my friend. .

My sincere condolences! I just heard of your Mom/Grandma's passing. Jane was my physiotherapist for many years. Her knowledge of the human body amazed me every time I went in to see her. Dear Welsh Family
I'm so sorry for the loss of Jane in your lives. She fought hard and I believe now is in Heaven, joyfull & pain-free. I believe she will be with you often. A close, loving family like yours is a blessing for you & everyone that knows you.
Jane was a wonderful friend & acupuncture colleague. We met at several conferences & shared many case studies while sitting in the sun on the beach. Hers was a smile that I looked forward to seeing every July at Lumsden Beach. I will miss her, but feel fortunate to have known her.
