Uncle Elmer was a caretaker! He was always looking after someone he cared about…if he wouldn’t have been a plumber he would have been a great nurse. You would never meet anyone with a bigger, kinder heart. I’ll miss you Uncle Elmer.

I grew up around him, and knew him from around the age of 5. The last time I remember speaking to him I was 26. He was always so kind. I kept on thinking I should go and say hello, and now it's to late....Very saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great person.

To me he was alway Bud and he meant the world to me. From trips with Grandma out to the lake to see him to our family trip to Disney world he was always there for me. I will miss him very much

I used to live next door to Elmer. He is one of the kindest people I know. I had two small boys and Elmer was like a grandpa to them. I said that my son's first best friend was Elmer. Elmer would call from his yard saying "Sherry, can Chad come out and help me water flowers?". Chad would be out the door before I had a chance to answer. He disposed of some of the mice I caught in traps and would chuckle at me as he did it because I was freaked out. I have so many wonderful memories of Elmer. I didn't see him much the last number of years, but when I did it was like old times. I know that Chad and Elmer are in heaven laughing and reminiscing about the "olden" days. Rest in peace my friend.

Hello Sherry. I don't know if my name will appear in the reply. It's Jeff Bruce. I'm sorry to hear that Chad has passed away, and at such a young age too. We didn't know each other well, I was about 6 or 7 years older than him but we did spend some time together playing video games. Hope you are well.
