Obituary of Katherine Mary Coleman
Katherine “Granny” Coleman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world suddenly on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the age of 80 years.
Katherine was born in Minton, SK November 29, 1941. The family later moved to Sedley where she helped farm and clean the school. This is where she met her husband and became an army wife. Shortly after being married the newlyweds were posted to Germany for three years. It was her expertise in speaking German that helped them get many friends and the best care as a Canadian German.
Katherine was a kind, gentle, and an amazing soul. She was always willing to put others needs before her own. Katherine was known for her great humour, compassion, love for sports, and fantastic home cooking. She had an incredible green thumb and had a work ethic unlike any other. In the words of many people, she was “Such a sweet and loving lady.”
Katherine will be joining her daughter Brenda Coleman, brother Joseph Massett, nephew Larry Massett and her parents Jacob and Barbra Massett. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60+ years, Richard; daughter Lesley Revet (Marcel); grandchildren Haley Revet , Dustin Revet (Alison), Shawn (Kyra), and Aaron; sister Margaret O’Bryne (Ray), sister-in-law Evelyn Massett; as well as numerous extended family and dear friends.
Katherine will be deeply missed and will always be remembered by all of us who loved her.
A Celebration of Katherine’s life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM.
