Obituary of Claire Pauline Whitby

Claire Whitby (née Morin) was born on January 1, 1927, in Lafleche, Saskatchewan and she passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Claire was predeceased by her husband John; her father Jean-Louis and Mother Marguerite (née Poliquin); her sisters Françoise (Des) Reedy, Lucille (Harley) Strain, Monique (Gerry) Heebner, and Marthe (Don) Laberge; and her brother Vincent (Colette). She is survived by her sons Gary (Susan), Don (Teresa), and Larry; grandson Brett (Julie); granddaughters Lisa (Blaine Tiefenbach), Alyssa (Corey) Braybrook, and Breann; great-granddaughter Grace Braybrook; great-grandsons Blake Whitby, Shane Whitby, and Lucas Braybrook; her sisters Agathe (Allan) Charbonneau, and Madeleine (Danny) McGillis; as well as many nieces and nephews. Music was a large part of Claire’s life whether playing, teaching, or listening.  She was the organist at Ste. Radegonde Roman Catholic Church in Lafleche from 1939-1989 inclusive. After retirement, Claire played golf regularly with John at Thomson Lake Golf Course.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Little Flower Parish, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK.
