It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of George Carter Pearce on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the age of 71 years. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Fay Pearce and his sister Judy Mickleborough.
George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years Joan (nee Kainer) Pearce; sons Nick (Crystal) Pearce of Regina, Jim (Julie) Pearce of Rothesay, New Brunswick; grandchildren Olivia, Ava, and Nickolaus; brothers Rick (Terria) Pearce of Silton and Bill (Colleen) Pearce of Prince Albert; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
George was born April 26, 1951, in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up on his family farm North of Regina. On May 2, 1969, at the age of 18, he met Joan and it was love at first sight.
George worked as a meat cutter at Safeway for over 40 years before retiring in 2014. In his lifetime, George had many interests which did include an affinity for technology and grand passion for precision firearms. He was a man of many talents as he was self taught in metal working, fabrication and engineering his own machinery on the farm. No matter where George was in his life, he always enjoyed the companionship of his furry family friends. We will greatly miss his unique personality, quick wit and one liners.
A Celebration of George’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. His final resting place will be in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
