Obituary of Florence Marie Cyca

Florence Cyca, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the age of 65 years after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents George and Monica Dillman; and her sister Patricia Dillman. Florence is survived by her husband Garth Cyca; brother Robert (Judie) Dillman of Ottawa, ON; sister Colette Dillman of Winnipeg, MB; as well as nieces and nephews Breanne, Danielle, Ryan, Caitline, Bently and Emiyah. Florence was a loyal and trusted employee who worked at SaskPower for forty years in various capacities. She had a quiet personality that exemplified a love of life, a subtle sense of humor, as well as a cerebral wit that was often accompanied with giggles of joy and happiness. Florence had always been an avid reader of books, novels, and other materials. She had a lifelong love of dogs, and many other animals in general. Later in life Florence became involved in service work and was heavily involved with the operations of the McNab Community Association in particular. Although a private person she rose to happily assist those in need when she could. In compliance with Florence’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. A private family interment will be held. Special thanks are extended to the nurses of the Pasqua Hospital and the Regina General Hospital who provided exceptional nursing and palliative care to Florence on her final journey home. Memorial donations may be made to the Carmichael Outreach Centre, 1510 12 Ave, Regina, SK S4P 0L5.
