I was sad to hear of Bob's death. His care for students and ability to,develop relationships with just about all students was a marvelous gift. Empathy and patience as well as being a good listener were his gifts.
M’y condolences to his family. May you have many happy memories of your brother.

To all the Turgeon family, please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your brother. It seems I've been connected to your family since high school when your Mother taught me my typing skills. Bob often reminded me of his mother with his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He will be missed. Wish I could be there on Saturday for his celebration of life. My thoughts will be with you all.

Our condolences at the passing of your gentle souled brother/brother-in-law/friend. We enjoyed seeing Bob during his antique days and swapping stories of lake life. A good man indeed who set a fine example of staying active and engaged.

To Bob's family: I'm so sorry for your loss. Bob and I worked together at LeBoldus during the 90's. He was a kind and gentle man who was loved by all his students and the staff. Bob was generous with his time and seldom said no to those in need of extra help.
I also remember how much he loved his two dogs. I was very sad to open the paper yesterday and see that he had passed away. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch, but I have fond memories of him and still considered him a friend. I was happy to read that he passed away peacefully. A gentle man deserved a gentle death.

Bob was one of the most friendly and kindest persons that I have ever met. I consider him a friend but he was also my neighbor at the lake for a couple years where we became good friends. When I went to visit him a couple years ago he was the same old Bob that always had a smile on his face and time to share a few stories about what was happening on the lake. I know he will be deeply missed. Rest in peace Bob.

I met Bob in La Ronge through my sister Debbie. I was immediately drawn to his kind nature, mischievous sense of humour and quick wit. While I only saw Bob occasionally on Debbie's visits south, he always made me feel like we were lifelong friends. Bob was a lovely man and gentleman. My life is richer having known him.

I was a 13 year old Grade 9 student at Campion in 1971. And it may have been ‘Turg’’s rookie year as well. Being younger and smaller than most of my classmates, I was terrified in this testosterone fuelled all boys setting. And in the early years, it was a bit unsettling for Turg as well. Boys being boys. But through it all, Turg maintained his dignity, patience, and kindness. In time, he gained everyone’s respect. He became the school’s most beloved teacher. His passing saddens me. But learning of his fascinating life fills me with happiness. He was a great teacher and wonderful person. I know I speak for thousands of students.

I had the pleasure of being a student of "Turg" at LeBoldus in the mid 1980's. He was a consistently pleasant and kind person. What I remember most about him was that he took the time to learn every student's name and would address everyone by name. He received great respect from all the students while maintaining a very soft spoken and gentle manner. I didn't keep in touch after graduation but I'm happy to read about his very full and fun filled life. Rest in peace Turg.
