Carm was a dear friend. I got to know Carm and Chris thru squash over many years. Carm was always one who brought a joy and life into the room (even onto the court). He was a real true sportsman and loved his squash. He created “The Spirit of Squash” award which was given out annually to a person in the squash community that embodied good sportsmanship, love of the game and giving back to the sport. He had many great Carm quotes regarding squash (and life) including “Fitness is ruining this game”. He has been missed greatly since he quit playing and refereeing. On behalf of the squash community I wish to pass on condolences to his friends and family. And let you know how much he was loved by all. God bless !! Vaughn Johnson

My deepest condolences to Carmen's family and many friends. Carmen had a presence. His musical talent and charm were well-known to our family and we will be forever grateful for the time he shared with us. When Dad got sick, I would hear about Carmen calling to check in; when we lost Dad this spring, Carmen called Mom regularly to make sure she was okay. We send our sincere condolences to Carmen’s family. We have fond memories when we had the band ‘Just Us’ and Carmen had the band ‘Friends & Neighbours’ in the late 1970’s and 1980’s we would take in each others performances when we had the chance. We also exchanged cassette tapes of our music. We were always impressed by Carmen’s wide vocal range. Val & Sandra Abello

Carmen was a Dahinda neighbour who we always enjoyed spending time with throughout the years. He was a talented and fun guy that I feel privileged to know. We shared some special times together but the most memorable was the Danube River cruise sailing from Bucharest to Budapest where he got to entertain us. He gifted my mother with a CD of his recordings which she thoroughly enjoyed listening to. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May your memories bring comfort and joy as you grieve the loss of this dear man.
