Obituary of Monty Patrick Gregga

Monty lost his love for life at the General Hospital on Friday, August 26, 2022. He is survived by his wife Denise Savage Gregga.

He was predeceased by his father Leo Gregga Sr.; and his brother Leo Paul Gregga Jr.

Monty is survived by his mother Yolande Gregga; brother Larry Gregga; and his sister Jocelyn (Bob) Stephenson. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews: Shamus Gregga (Kim) and their children Connor and Ryder, Kailin Gregga (Steven Lazen), Brendan (Kanji) Gregga and their child Jade, Katherine (Greg) Godwin and their children Simon and Vera, Sean Stephenson (Stephanie Chouinard); Kirk (Brittany) Stephenson and their children Finn and Scout; as well as his mother-in-law Gladys Savage Gorrill (Clair McLeod); brother-in-law, Mark Savage (Elizabeth Thacker) and family, Thomas Savage and Tianna Savage (Ari Giroux).

Monty followed in his family footsteps attending St. Matthew School, Campion High School and later the University of Regina.

To the nurses at the Pasqua Hospital Infusion Clinic, Monty’s Gorgeous Girls, a special Thank-you for making Monty’s bi-weekly double infusions something to look forward to.

To the nurses on unit 5F at the General Hospital for their caring treatment of Monty and to the many doctors, caregivers and nurses that helped create a better life for Monty, who bore his many illnesses without complaint, Thank-you!

During this time of sorrow, we learn how much our friends mean to us. All your kindness and sympathy to Monty will always be remembered by our family.

A Celebration of Monty’s Life will take place at Speers Family Center, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. We request masks, which will be supplied if needed, be worn.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in the memory of Monty Gregga may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
