Obituary of Terrence Wendall Lavallee
Chief (Wahpi Kihiw Awasis – White Eagle Child) Terrence Wendall Lavallee from Cowessess First Nation made his journey to the Spirit World on September 29, 2022 and joined the infinite at the age of 75 years after enduring a lengthy illness.
He was predeceased by his father Henry Samuel Lavallee; mother Mary Ann-Bella Lavallee; sisters Carol Lavallee and Sybil Pelletier; and two grandchildren.
Terrence leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 52 years Marjorie R. Lavallee (nee Dressyman); sons Troy Earthchild and Tyrone Myles White Buffalo Walker; daughter Samy-Jo New Dawn; siblings Dr. Melvin Ross Lavallee (Dixie) of Calgary, AB, and Shelley Lavallee of Regina, SK; grandchildren Tyrell Bull (Kendal), Triton Smoke, Autumn Sage Lavallee; great-grandchildren Teya, Kamryn, and Tycee; and numerous nieces and nephews across the globe.
Terrence graduated from the University of Regina with a Political Science Degree. He served two terms as Chief on Cowessess First Nation. Terrence wanted nothing but the best for his family, friends, and the Nation.
Wake will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held on the family farm at Cowessess First Nation.
