Obituary of Dawn Rae Zimmer

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, wife, sister, auntie, and friend.

Dawn passed away Oct 10, 2022, with her loving friend Cathy by her side.

Predeceased by her parents Paul and Laverne Pidhorney. Dawn’s memory will be forever cherished by her husband Darvin Zimmer; children Colby Zimmer and Krista Zimmer-Ames (Justin Ames); sister Kim Tokarz (Dennis); niece and nephew Paul and Sara Tokarz; brother Wade Pidhorney (Marnelle); niece Madison Pidhorney (Kyle Roe); sister-in-law Yolanda Spencer (Kim); and nephews Brett and Tyler Spencer. Dawn was also survived by her aunts Borgie Elden, Mildred Norum, Kathy Fenton, Pat Pidhorney and numerous cousins. Her memory will also live on with her grandpets Sofie, Lincoln, Charlie, and Oscar.

Mom enjoyed being at the lake, spending time in her pool on her floaty, being on the boat with her husband D, spending time with her grandpets, friends, and family. Our mother was the life of the party, always spending so much time organizing events and making everyone feel so special.  Dawn was a contagious soul, spreading love and laughter in every room she entered. A woman of love, life, generosity and kindness will be sadly missed by her family and friends.  Heaven has a new angel.

A celebration of life will be held at the Turvey Centre, 100 Armour Rd HWY 6 N, Regina, SK, on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with lunch to follow. Private interment to follow at Govan Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a thank you to everyone for all their support during this difficult time.
