Obituary of Marlin Dale Ponace

Marlin Dale Ponace of Zagime Anishinabek First Nation; born June 26, 1973 was called home to the spirit world on November 14, 2022. Marlin will be remembered for his humorous ways, his kindness, his go with the flow personality, and his love for music.

 

Marlin was predeceased by his maternal grandparents John and Mary Alice Ponace; paternal grandparents King and Angelique Acoose; mother Darlene Bunnie; father Noel Acoose; brothers Shannon Ponace, Chris Acoose; sister Allison Ponace; best friend Jason McKnight; and numerous others.

 

Marlin is survived by his children who meant a lot to him, his daughters Sierra, Calleigh, Neveah, and his son Jase Ponace; brothers Dean (Colleen), Dion, Maxwell Ponace, Jonathan Bunnie; sisters Angelique Ponace, and Alyssa Bunnie. He had close bonds with his cousin Garnet (Kelly) Ponace; nephews Justin Listoe Ponace, Noel Veidenheimer, and Tyler (Rayne) Ponace; nieces Amanda (Richard), Darla (Chris) and Evangeline Ponace; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart.

 

Marlin will be missed by his many friends and family. We will cherish all our wonderful memories he left us with. The family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support they have received during this difficult time.

 

Wake will be held at Indigenous Christian Fellowship, 3131 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Indigenous Christian Fellowship on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
