I frist meet Don at Hythe Convention the year I joined the Gospel. I was only 12 and he saw me struggling to understand the KJV so he gave me an NIV bible to help me interpret God's word. I have been in touch with him ever since. A couple of times over the years I have even confided in him for advice and clarity in how to understand what God ment for us in our personal behind closed doors part of life. I can't say he wasn't shocked or slightly embarrassed but I can say that he prayed about my questions, studied, sent me the verses I needed to read, and a brief explanation. He has been such a strong source of help to me from the beginning and I am very grateful for his endeavors in tiresly helping us all understand the importance and depth of God's word. Amy Maddex.

I was fortunate to have spent some time with Uncle Don while I was stationed in Okinawa. He was there for special meetings and it was really great for me to have that time with him while half way across the world. Who can forget his infectious smile and the softness in which he spoke. Much love to you Don, thank you for your contribution to this life. My condolences to everyone for I know he will be greatly missed. What an amazing soul. It was a privilege to know you and there is so much comfort in knowing you're now at peace and with your Father. Rest in Peace Uncle Don.

Don spent a few weeks at our farm several springs preparing for the convention there. My dad, Paul, especially enjoyed working with him as they were both “fix-it” men and enjoyed fabricating things together.. even a cab for our 3020 John Deere tractor. But it was his love for Truth and for his place in the ministry that surpassed all else. My sympathy to all who have been involved in his care the past months.. you especially will miss him. Jan Cobb

Don & I had a year together up in Mulligar-Spiritwood área of SK. I treasure the memory of those days in the 70s. What stands out in my memory of Don is his unselfish impartial love for souls. He never forgot someone that showed the slightest interest in the One he loved & served. We have kept in touch ever since. His faithfulness is a comfort to family & friends that share the cost of separation. Our love, Bernard & Ruth Hall.
