Chet's passing was a shock followed by the deep sense of loss bearing down on all who knew him. We can only think back on the good times to try and lift that weight. To Chet's immediate family please know our heart goes out to you.

Sending our deepest condolences to Abby and Zach, Ann and Jim, Cherie and Tanner, and all of Chet's family and friends. Being at a distance, we did not get to spend a lot of time with Chet but did get in on the odd family FaceTime chat with Cherie. Chet will be dearly missed. May the earthly time with Chet stay on mind and in heart to ensure his memory and presence stay alive. Our memories will live on in honor of a remarkable man.

My condolences to Chet’s family and friends. I worked at SLGA, in a different area from Chet, but I will never forget the first time I met him. It was a beautiful service today, and I will be keeping his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.

Chet was a wonderful childhood friend and a great hockey team mate for many seasons from small boys to playing on the Regina Pat Canadians. I will always have fond memories of the fun sleepover nights at Jim and Ann's home where we played full on hockey in their basement with lots of laughter and the occasional tear. I have fond memories of working with Chet at Bi-Rite when we were teenagers. At the video rental counter, he would try to get me to laugh in front of customers, and he usually succeeded. To his family—I am so sorry for your loss.

Chet was a classmate of mine. Although I didn't know him that well personally, I knew he was very well liked and a great person. I can see from the obituary how wonderful a person he was, both to friends and family. And although he's gone too soon, his wonderful outlook on life has been passed on to his kids. Chet was a head coach with me as an assistant and my son a goalie quite a few years back. It was my favourite season of coaching hockey. Chet cared about the kids and the team and made it a fun season for all. We were the Shamrocks and for St Patrick’s Day, Chet wore a Shamrock suit on the bench. Made many days special for alot of kids! Happy to have coached along side Chet! -Bryan Rice

I was fortunate enough to be a teammate and linemate with Chet at UMD. We had a lot of great times and great memories. He, Greg Hanson and I just had the opportunity to sit down and laugh about old times and catch up on our current lives just a few months ago. I will forever feel lucky for that time with Chet. Like I always used to tell him “Everything is better with Chetter!!!” My wife Anissa and I wish to share our condolences to all of Chet’s family and friends. So sorry for your loss.
