Bob, Amber, Noel and Family,
Dianne and I attended Doreen's Celebration of Life last Saturday, but were unable to stay for the reception to pass on our condolences in person.
I had the opportunity to work with Doreen over many of her years in the Provincial government. She had an infectious and upbeat CanDo attitude. That work contributed to making life better for the people of her constituency and the Province. She exemplified the famous words of J.S. Woodsworth: "What we desire for ourselves, we wish for all." There can be no higher tribute.
Our deepest condolences. May you be comforted by the knowledge her life truly made a difference!

My deepest condolences to the families of Doreen. We were childhood school friends from Grade 4 on. To let you know, there are several school mates i have chatted with that are sending prayers to your families from as far away as British Columbia. I was saddened to read Doreen has passed away and write to extend my condolences. It was my privilege to have been her colleague over the course of many years in the Legislative Assembly. Privileged because she was such a positive, friendly presence to be around. And privileged because she was diligent and contributed greatly to public life and to making our community a better place for all. My condolences Bob, Noel, Amber
Doreen was my heart of the family and my mentor, I enjoyed playing canasta in all its forms that she taught me, she made me laugh and enjoy family time whenever we were together. She accepted me when I would casually drop in on a road trip west , my car always knew the way to a warm heart.
You will always be in my heart cousin. Love you love you love you. What more can I say?

Bob, Noel and Amber,
My parents, brother and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of Doreen. She was so kind and I have very special memories of her. Amber, she always made the sleepovers at your house so fun and always made time to make me feel like an extended member of your family. I will remember her taking us to Sunday school and even have vague memories of preschool. I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. I am happy she got to spend time with her grandchildren. I bet she was a wonderful grandma! Hugs and love.
