Born July 8, 1922 on the Lang Family Farm south of Kendal, Saskatchewan, Elizabeth was proudly from a family of 14 siblings and married into the Wagner family of eight siblings. She attended Silver Hills School until Grandma Lang needed her at home to help with family and chores.

Over the years Beth worked sewing draperies, then at a bag manufacturing plan and along with Bill, purchased and ran The Balgonie Hotel and later the City Centre Motel in Swift Current.

Family was everything to Beth and, like her mother, she was happiest when the house was full of her children, grand and great grandchildren and her family.

There was sure to be some family gathering and card game happening more than once a week. At first travelling by sleigh in winter to a sibling or neighbor and later gathering with siblings at her condo for a game or two. A month before her passing, there were still regular weekly cribbage games with her sisters Mary and Evelyn, and niece Wendy Rist. Beth could be expected to skunk them on occasion.

Known by her grandchildren as GMa and by her great grandchildren as GG, they were the love of her life. You could see her heart swell just talking about them with a happy smile from ear to ear.

The family would sincerely like to acknowledge the Staff at Parkside Care Home, North Wing who were so kind and loving to Beth while in their care. The kindness and compassion they show for all residents is outstanding!
