In September 1966, I began my first teaching job with Regina Catholic Schools at St.James Elementary School, on Pasqua Street. Bradley Breit was my first Principal. He was the perfect man for that mentoring job. An ever kind and considerate man of faith, passionate about teaching and learning, Brad led by example, coaching and supporting through my introduction to Catholic education. I learned from a Master teacher, who willingly shared his expertise and set standards that have guided my career. Nearly a decade later, at St. John School, I had the privilege of teaching all three of Brad's girls Even later in my career, at Miller Comprehensive, I was interacting with Brad Jr. in his teaching career. I have been blessed to have enjoyed a continuing relationship with Brad Sr. and his family over many years.
I send my deepest condolences to all of Brad's children and their families. I will treasure fond memories of your patriarch. May God grant him eternal peace.

Mr. Breit was one of the kindest yet most intellectually demanding teachers I ever experienced during my time at Miller High School. I will be forever grateful for his tutelage as well as his gentle manner and will remember him all of my days. We were very fortunate to have had him teach us.
My siblings were also fortunate recipients of his teaching.
My sincerest condolences to his family and may his native prairie soil gently cradle him.
May his memory be eternal.

Uncle Jules and Aunty Barb will always hold a special place in my heart. Warm and welcoming they were always happy to see you and catch up on events in your life and with your family. Family was the most important thing to them and they were very proud of theirs. Uncle Jules was a stickler for details, probably in part due to his cadet background and teaching career. I fondly remember calling him from a pay phone for directions to the house on Massey. Before letting me hang up he insisted that I repeat the directions back to him, not once but twice to be sure that I knew how to get there. Helen and I were sad to hear of his passing but know that he is in a better place reunited with the love of his life. Bradley, Bonnie, Belinda, Brent and Barbie our thoughts, love and prayers are with you and your families at this difficult time. May your memories of your mom and dad ease this transition.

So sorry to see the news of Mr. Breit's passing. He was my teacher and principal for my last three years of high school. I especially appreciated the many times he graciously invited me over to their home for an evening in my final year of high school when I was away from my family.

Rest in Peace Uncle Jules, Never could get used to the new name when I'd known you all my life as Uncle Julius. So many joyful memories of times at the farm and times at Massey Road before we all started being weight conscious - Auntie Barbara was an amazing cook and baker and we all adored special holidays and all the good food. And from what I've read or heard you took over the cooking with your air fryer or barbecue.
To my cousins, I am so sorry I couldn't be there in person today. Don't know if you were aware that I've been fighting cancer for a year (Thank God I'm now in remission but still very weak). So no way I could drive from Winnipeg solo. I watched the livestream and was so glad to recognize most of you from behind. Lovely, warm service - well done to Benjamin on the eulogy, I'd have been in tears the entire time.

I was very saddened to hear of Major Breit's passing. He was my mentor in cadets. I first met Brad when he became the Commanding Officer of 2370 10th FD Royal Canadian Army Cadets. When he assumed command their were only seven cadets left in the corps. I was one of them. His leadership and dedication to youth soon raised the corps from the original seven to well over a hundred cadets in a short span of nine years. He guided my career in the Canadian Cadet Organization.
Brad was an extraordinary man who served his community and his church with distinction and passion. He will most certainly be missed by the many who knew him.
Our sincere condolences to the family.

Brad Sr was a great friend to my Dad Henry and very kind to our whole family. In addition to years of cadet events, I have so many fond memories. One was a cold winter morning in 1976 when 5 of us ( Brad, Brad Jr, Bonnie, Henry and I, crammed in his Volkswagen Beatle for the trip to Miller High. Another was when us kids would overhear the laughs from the parents playing bridge and Brad would let out a chuckle and declare "ah, you sold the farm Henry..". Brent, Brad, Belinda and Barbie, please accept a big hug from the Joerissen's and our thanks for sharing your wonderful dad with us.

I have very fond memories of Mr. Breit both as my Geo/Trig teacher at Miller High School and as my Commanding Officer with 2370 RCACC. He left a very lasting impression as an exceptional teacher and taking the time to work with students individually because he had a passion for helping others.
