Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Perfect

PERFECT, Elizabeth Anne (nee Cross)

Elizabeth passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023, at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her husband George (2005); her parents James and Grace Cross (1988); and in-laws George (1970) and Maisie (1997); nephews Kenny Steele (1973) and Bill Steele (2003); and her only sibling, Gwen Steele (2021).

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Jim (Wanda) of Regina, John (Leona) of Regina, and Russell (Beth Hanlon) of Sooke, BC; grandchildren, Jim (Kim) of Port Coquitlam, BC, Devin (Tammy Leibel) of Regina, Shauna (Ryan Coutts) of Craven, SK, Janine (Keith) Kieller of Sooke, BC, and Jared (Jaline) of Calgary, AB; five great-grandchildren, Brayden Hayes of Saskatoon, Jaxen and George Perfect of Port Coquitlam, and Maisie and Arlo Perfect of Craven, SK; as well as her only remaining nephew, Scott (Leah Watkins) Steele of Maple Ridge, BC and many Rennie Cousins in Manitoba.

Elizabeth was an avid reader and had many interests, especially in History and the Arts. She was active in Regina Little Theatre in the 1950-60s. She also had a passion for writing and was a freelance writer for the Leader-Post, which published her light-hearted articles over the course of three decades.

Above all, Elizabeth loved her three boys and supported them in their aspirations and endeavors.

At Elizabeth’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. A private family Graveside gathering will take place at Regina Memorial Gardens where she will be interred alongside her husband.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7, or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 2550 12 Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1. These were two charities that Elizabeth wholly supported.

We thank Mom’s caregivers for their tender loving care these past few years.

Elizabeth will be sadly missed by all who knew her and forever remembered by a legion of friends and most especially, her family.
