Obituary of Loretta Magdalena Baker

With great sadness, the Baker family announces the passing of Loretta: beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister on Friday, January 13, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Magdelina Bast; husband Jimmy; son Robert; siblings, George (Veva) Bast, Leo Bast, Adolf and Betty Bast, Mary and Clarence Stuckel; brother-in-law Ron Riess; and sister-in-law Rejeanne Bast. Loretta will be lovingly remembered by her children, Don (Caroline), Valerie (Larry Dykstra), and Gary (Laurie); grandchildren, Kristen (Devon Telle), Chelsey Sherloski (Craig Gavelin), David Baker, Abigail, and Noah Baker; great-granddaughter Alice Telle; siblings Edmund Bast, Alfred Bast (Ethel), Theresa Riess, Joan (Ralph Bellefleur), David Bast; sister-in-law Olga Bast; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family is grateful for the extra special care from Dr. Khan and the Oncology department at the Pasqua hospital and the staff at the William Booth Care Home. Interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care at the William Booth or a charity of your choice.
